Trump's Campaign Mastermind Revealed...And It's Not Who We All Thought It Was

How can it be, so many professional politics workers, and longtime observers of the American election dance, that a businessman, inexperienced in running a campaign, could possibly have beaten out the juggernaut that was the Hillary Clinton/Democratic National Committee machine?  Thanks to an exclusive Forbes interview with Donald Trump's secret weapon - his son-in-law Jared Kushner, as it happens. the true architect of the campaign structure - we know the answer:

  • Thinking outside the box
  • Applying business return on investment tactics
  • Using social media effectively
  • Asking for help from the data experts, not the political ones.

Essentially, this is known as thinking like an entrepreneur.

“Jared understood the online world in a way the traditional media folks didn’t. He managed to assemble a presidential campaign on a shoestring using new technology and won. That’s a big deal,” says Schmidt, the Google billionaire. “Remember all those articles about how they had no money, no people, organizational structure? Well, they won, and Jared ran it.”

This was evidenced in the tactics employed: making low budget videos of policy statements and posting them directly online, testing campaign ads with immediate feedback to test for impact, and using simple language that spoke directly to the American voter in a way that no traditional campaign ever could.
By thinking outside the box, and not knowing what was expected, Kushner did what he knew - he went the business route - and far from being a bystander, is probably the one person responsible for the remarkable Donald Trump win over Crooked Hillary all without the outside world knowing of his involvement.
The full Forbes article is worth reading.  It gives a lot of insight to both Kushner, and his father-in-law.
